When was the last time you felt really fulfilled? Successful, but in all areas of your life?
- Do you feel pulled between career and family?
- Do you wish you had more time for your goals?
- The money, energy and time to fulfill them?
When did you last focus on you? Was it a long time ago, before your relationship? Before you had kids?
Did you get lost in your family or did you get lost your career?
It’s time to reclaim yourself!
Your goals, your needs, your priorities and your wishes are just as important as anyone else’s.
Your significant other, your friends and most of all your kids, need to see you fulfilling them. Why? Because women are taught we need permission to put ourselves first. It helps to see someone we know succeeding.
Not only because you’re worth the goals you set for yourself, but how else will our children, especially our daughters, know what it takes to be successful in life, career and love? If they ONLY see compromise, selflessness and putting everyone else first ALL the time, they’ve never learned to fight for their own wishes.
So many times, girls are taught that your personal goals and even your personal care ends when you become a mother.
For this reason, so many intelligent, young, women have chosen to forego motherhood (and even marriage) to be able to continue enjoying their career, relationships and free time.
These false (but largely unchallenged) messages are ruining many lives of women all over the world.
Of course, children and a husband don’t make you a woman. Some women choose to get married and have kids. I did. However, I refuse to become an invisible doormat for the most important people in my life.
I have spent the last few years simultaneously becoming a wife and a mother, and working to reclaim myself. There must be a balance between self and others to feel fulfilled and serve others in love and peace.
Balancing Hacks is about an even mix of family and you! Sometimes, it’ll be more family, sometimes more you. I offer hacks to help you save money, earn extra money, become more efficient, take better care of yourself and anything else that helps you help balance your personal, professional and family priorities.
The point is that you can’t leave one out without hurting the other. A woman’s life becomes full of compromise when she shares it with others. That compromise is not the death of your personal truths.
Balancing hacks will help you remember yourself so you can take the best care of the ones you love.
